This privacy policy explains how Adam Eccles Books collects, uses, and stores your personal data when you sign up to The Hidden Chapter membership or use this website.

What data we collect
- Email address — required to create a membership and send you the newsletter and your free books.
- First name — used to personalise emails. Optional in practice.
- Purchase data — if you buy a product via Lemon Squeezy, your email address and purchased product details are stored to manage your entitlements.
We do not collect your address, phone number, payment card details, or any sensitive personal data. Payment processing is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, who act as merchant of record.
How we use your data
- To deliver your free books via BookFunnel
- To send the Hidden Chapter newsletter via Kit (formerly ConvertKit)
- To manage your membership and product entitlements
- To notify you about new releases and Kickstarter campaigns, if you've opted in
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond running this membership.

Cookies
This site currently sets no cookies. When membership login is introduced, session cookies will be used to keep you logged in. These will be strictly functional — no tracking, no advertising. This policy will be updated at that point.
How long we keep your data
Your email address and membership data are kept for as long as you remain a member. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter via Kit, your email is removed from the mailing list. To request full deletion of your account and associated data, contact adam@adamecclesbooks.com.
Your rights
Under GDPR and UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to object to or restrict how we process your data, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email adam@adamecclesbooks.com.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, members will be notified by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
